Figure 1 shows the pattern of annual sales of Southern Book Store between 2005 to 2007, while figure 2 shows sales of four types of reading materials that contribute to the sales of Southern Book Store in 2007. On the whole the increase in sales of reading materials corresponds with the overall increase of the annual sales.
In 2005, sales remained constant at a low of 2000 copies per month while in 2006; sales fluctuated between 3500 and 5500 copies. In 2007, sales dropped slightly from 3000 to 2000 copies from January to March, then increased significantly to 8000 copies in August and stayed constant until December.
The first quarter of 2007 recorded the lowest sales of reading materials. The steady increase in sales from April to August shown in Figure 1 is reflected in the increment of textbooks and best sellers for the corresponding period. Figure 1 reached its peak in August and remained a plateau until September which is reflected in the high sales in the second half of 2007 as shown in Figure 2. Best sellers recorded the highest sale of 14000 copies in the second half of the year.
As we can see best sellers contributed significantly to the annual sales of Southern Book Store for 2007. n.b. - It should be 200 words or less. DO NOT EXCEED!
